The National Veterinary Technician Examination (NVTE) is the state licensing examination. The purpose of this exam is to evaluate the competency level of the candidates to ensure that they have sufficient knowledge and skills to perform the necessary clinical tasks in a veterinary clinic or hospital. On the other hand, if you aim to work in a research facility, you are advised to sit for Laboratory Animal Science Exam and obtain another unique certification from the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science.
